Crownforge
Crownforge is a free online card game that plays itself while you're away and hands you the deck when you want a real fight.
Open packs, build a five-card battle line and let it push through endless stages, even while you're offline. When you want to play properly, take a 60 to 80 card deck into the Arena for a turn-based duel against another player or the AI.
No download and no sign-up needed to start: press Run game and you're playing as a guest. Claim an account later to protect your cards.
What's in it
- 2,000+ cards across eight series, in six elements and nine card types: creatures, spells, relics, artifacts, traps, counters, curses, terrains and special energy.
- Every copy is numbered. Registered players' cards carry a serial number, and copy #1 of a card is a real thing someone owns. Foil finishes run from Reverse Holo up to Star Holo.
- An idle battle line that earns gold around the clock, with expeditions, daily and weekly quests, and a weekly Rift boss.
- The Arena: turn-based duels with 50 life a side. Each turn runs through Energy, Summon, Attack and Defense setup, and you choose which creatures guard and in what order. Colossal creatures, Ascension (a creature played onto its base form), face-down traps and counters.
- A deck builder with five saved decks and an auto-builder: pick the elements, set how much of the deck each card type gets, and it fills in the rest from your collection.
- Trading and an Auction House. Trade cards directly with other players or put them up for auction.
- Chat, friends, profiles, badges and leaderboards.
- Limited editions printed in small numbers, and seasonal cards that unseal on their holiday.
How a duel works
- Energy: play one energy card. Your energy refreshes every turn.
- Summon: creatures cost energy of their own element plus some of any kind. Cast spells, attach relics, set traps face down.
- Attack: choose your attackers. The other player's guards intercept them in the order that player set; anything unblocked hits the hero.
- Defense setup: choose which of your creatures guard next turn, and in what order. Creatures that attacked can't guard.
Good to know
- Crownforge is an online game: it needs an internet connection, and your progress is saved on the game's server, not in your browser.
- It's free to play. There is an optional store; everything in it apart from the Founder's Crown and Realm Boosts can also be earned by playing.
- Guest accounts are deleted after 30 days without playing. Claiming an account (email and password) keeps your cards safe and gives them serial numbers.
